Master of Physiotherapy is a postgraduate program that equips students with advanced knowledge and skills in the field of physiotherapy. The course is designed to provide students with a deeper understanding of the human body and the principles and practices of physiotherapy with advanced concepts in physiotherapy, including manual therapy, electrotherapy, and exercise prescription.

The program is usually spread over two-years and comprises of theoretical and clinical practice where students get hands-on experience in treating patients with various orthopedic, Neurology, Cardiopulmonary, pediatrics, Surgical & neuromuscular conditions. Students also delve deeper into research methodologies and evidence-based practice, learning how to critically evaluate research papers and apply the findings to their clinical practice.

The Postgraduate Physiotherapy program is designed with the goal to create a Physiotherapist possessing the ability to assess, plan and implement rehabilitative programs that improve or restore human motor functions, maximize movement ability, relieve pain syndromes, and treat or prevent physical challenges associated with injuries, diseases and other impairments. They apply a broad range of physical therapies and techniques such as movement, ultrasound, heating, laser and other techniques. They may develop and implement programmes for screening and prevention of common physical ailments and disorders.

The post-graduation program typically covers a wide range of specialization in Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) in Orthopedics, Sports, Orthopedics with Manual Therapy, Orthopedics with Sports, Neurology with Psychosomatic Disorders and Cardiopulmonary Conditions.
