B.Tech. (Civil Engineering) Course: B. Tech. Civil School of Engineering & Technology

Table of Contents

Civil Engineering is one of the oldest/core branches of engineering which is required to fulfil the necessity of mankind for shelter. Some civil engineering marvels are still present as landmarks of history in front of us. Civil engineers are responsible for the development, planning, design, construction, maintenance and operation of various construction projects, as well as all the basic utilities. In short, civil engineers provide the foundation for other branches of engineering. The Department of Civil Engineering was established in 2011 at Jaipur National University with a vision to develop students and contribute to the development of the Nation.

Learning Perspective

With the development of technology in the field of civil engineering, all the latest machines & tools are available in the advanced laboratories. Department of Civil Engineering aims to give more emphasis on developing state of art projects, with the students and develop an innovative student-centric approach in its pedagogy. Many patents have been published by the department for its novel projects. All laboratories of the department are having latest technological instruments as per the requirement of the curriculum and for research purposes. The department provides consultancy services on a variety of technical issues to the society and government sector. Well qualifies faculty members to having brilliant research orientation and experience to impart their knowledge to the students. Industrial Visits, Faculty Development Programme, Expert Lectures, Seminar and Survey Camps from renowned personalities of academia and industry are conducted on regular intervals. Students are also trained in software like AutoCAD, Revit, STADD Pro etc. Advanced learners are motivated to register for NPTEL courses and are facilitated by NPTEL certificates to make Jaipur National University the best college for civil engineering.
