The School of Agricultural Sciences offers B. Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, a four-years professional degree programme at Jaipur National University, This programme comprises of 8-semesters with the course curriculum as recommended by the 5th Dean’s Committee of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR, an Apex body). The course is offered at one of the best Agriculture Colleges in Jaipur, and covers subjects such as Agronomy, Plant Breeding & Genetics, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, Environment Science, Horticulture, Animal Science, Fisheries, Biochemistry, Nematology, Microbiology, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Economics and Statistics.

Agriculture graduates from the best BSc Agriculture college in Jaipur, have tremendous opportunities in the Public (Government) and private sectors. Agricultural Scientist Recruitment Board (ASRB) conducts an examination every year for the recruitment of Agriculture Scientists in different subjects. Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) are also provided to Agriculture graduates to continue their higher education. The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), Ministry of Finance, Government of India conducts examinations for recruitment of Agriculture Finance Officers (AFO) to be posted in different Nationalized Banks every year.

Visits

Students visit Rajasthan Agricultural Research Institute, Durgapura, Jaipur to observe the research fields, Agriculture Meteorology and Laboratories of different subjects; International Horticulture Innovation & Training Centre, Durgapura, Jaipur; Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi; National Dairy Research Institute, karnal, Post Graduate Institute of Veterinary Education and Research , Jamdoli; Jaipur and many other HEIs of national and international repute. Students also visit SKN Agriculture University, Jobner to see Farmer’s Fair organized from time to time.
