BSTC Course: (Basic School Teaching Course)

BSTC (Basic School Teaching Certificate) is a 2-year diploma course designed to train individuals as primary school teachers for Class 1 to 5. The course focuses on child education, teaching methodologies, and classroom management. BSTC has been officially renamed D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) in many states, but the curriculum and career opportunities remain the same.

In states like Rajasthan, BSTC is a mandatory qualification for individuals who want to become primary teachers in government and private schools. Admission is usually based on entrance exams like the Rajasthan Pre-D.El.Ed Exam.
